Imagine Me

Have you ever allowed your mind to wonder? Wonder so far on a dream or desire you have that you forget where you are or what you were doing last. I have been there several times as I dreamed of my future or even just what I will encounter in 2014. There are so many people afraid to dream of simply the possibilities, because their faith is not even the size of the mustard seed mentioned in the bible (Luke 17:6). I never imagined I would be doing what I am doing. But, as I reminisce standing on a stage at the age of 4 singing Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life", I wasn't afraid. I remember rehearsing in our dining room with my cassette player over and over with family encouraging me. In those moments, I didn't know what it was to be scared, intimidated, or have nervousness. I just knew I wanted to sing the song in the talent show. Whether or not I done good or bad, I don't recall, but I do remember people standing up clapping after I was done.  I imagined being on that stage. Could it be that moment helped develop what I am doing now? I encourAGE (I capitalized age for a reason), no matter where you are in life or your age, you can dream. I encourage you to imagine, because you're still breathing, so that right belongs to you. Take some time before this year is over to spend at least 15 focused minutes using your imagination. I am imagining you living beyond your wildest imagination, meeting people you thought you would never meet. I imagine you're doing what others said couldn't be done. I am imagining you smiling with joy! You have the power within you to go and do whatever you imagine. As I wait to tape the show, I always wanted to be on TV. I have indulged in this endeavor before, but it didn't work out. I figured it was not the right time, but it didn't stop me from imagining myself. Nor did it stop me from acting like Oprah, so here I am doing what I imagined. God Bless You!
